The 3.6L V6 engine is robust and produces enough power to overcome any hurdle but can easily conquer a daily commute without going off-road. The eight-speed automatic transmission transfers smoothly and always feel like it is in the right gear. The body-on-frame construction allows for optimal performance off-road. Although the boxy design creates a lot of road and wind noise, the cabin is much quieter than in previous models with the hardtop logically being a quieter option than the soft top.
